EV charging

Stop planning the holiday
around the charger.

A charge point at the home, so the car fills up overnight while you are asleep instead of on a forecourt an hour away.

The drive down is the easy part. It is the week afterwards that catches people out.

Rural parks are often a long way from a reliable rapid charger, the ones that are nearby are busy in season, and paying public rates for a week of local driving costs a good deal more than charging at the home would. A point at the pitch turns the car back into something you stop thinking about.

What it changes

You charge while you sleep

Plug in when you arrive and the car is ready in the morning, at the rate you pay for electricity at the home rather than whatever a public network is charging that week.

It works with solar

If the home has panels, the charger can be set to take what the roof is making first. On a bright day that is about as close to free miles as it gets.

Set from your phone

Schedule it for the cheapest hours, check it has finished and stop it when you want, without going outside in the rain.

Fitted by the same team

The charge point is surveyed, installed and supported alongside anything else we have fitted at the home, on one visit rather than three.

How we get there

1

A free survey

We check the supply at the pitch, where the car actually parks, and whether the home’s connection will carry a charger at all.

2

Permission from the park

Anything fixed at the pitch is the park’s decision. We ask them, and we tell you straight if the answer is no.

3

Installed and certified

Fitted by our accredited engineering partner, then tested, certified and notified as it should be.

4

Set up and explained

We connect the app, set it to charge when electricity is cheapest, and show you how to change it.

The things people ask first

Will the pitch supply take it?

Not always, and this is the honest first hurdle. Plenty of pitches sit on a limited supply that will not carry a charger at full output. Where that is the case we will tell you at survey, rather than after you have paid for something.

Do I need the park's permission?

Yes. Anything fixed at the pitch is the park’s call. We approach them on your behalf so you are not left negotiating it yourself.

How fast will it charge?

That depends entirely on the supply available at the pitch. A slower overnight charge is usually all a holiday home needs, and it is far kinder to the supply than a fast unit would be.

There is nowhere to park by the home.

Then a point at the pitch is the wrong answer and a shared bay on the park is the better one. That is a conversation with the park, and we are happy to start it.

Can I use it when the home is let out?

You decide who can use it and when. If you let the home out it can be locked, left open or metered, whichever suits how you run it.

What sits behind it

Find out what the pitch will take

Book a survey and we will check the supply, ask the park, and tell you plainly whether it is worth doing. It commits you to nothing.

Whether a charge point can be fitted, and how quickly it will charge, depend on the electrical supply available at the pitch. This varies widely between parks and is frequently limited. Installation requires the park owner’s agreement. Running costs depend on your electricity tariff and on how the home is supplied and metered. Any figures we give are estimates for your property rather than guarantees.
