Solar & battery for park owners

Solar for your park,
paid for by the bill you already pay.

A solar and battery system sized to power the whole park, with nothing to pay up front. For around five years* you keep paying today’s electricity bill, fixed, and that pays it off. Then it’s yours, and the power it makes is free for the next twenty.

£0

kept in the park over those 20 years, on a park spending £60,000 a year.

*Illustrative, at today’s prices, for a park using around 200,000 kWh a year. Five years is the typical term; it can be longer depending on consumption, tariff and system size, and is confirmed at the energy audit. Not guaranteed.

Electricity is the biggest bill on the park, and you don’t set the price.

Pool, clubhouse, hook-ups, lighting, hire fleet, EV charging. The load grows every season, and the price per unit is decided by a market you have no say in. Most parks have already done the LED and efficiency work. The bill is still there.

The park is already paying for a solar system. It’s just paying the grid instead.

Where the park’s electricity goes

Facilities

Pool, clubhouse, bar, shop, reception, laundry and lighting, running every day of the season.

Pitches and hook-ups

Hundreds of small loads that add up to a large one.

Your hire fleet

Heating, hot water and appliances in the park-owned vans you let out.

What’s coming

EV charging and heat pumps move more of the park onto electricity, not less.

The awkward truth

Your busiest months are the sunniest months.

A holiday park’s electricity use peaks between Easter and October, exactly when solar generates most. Few businesses have a load that fits solar this well.

How it works

Keep paying what you pay today. Own the system in around five years.*

No capital, no loan and no lease. Your electricity spend simply changes where it goes.

Today

You pay the grid

Every month, at whatever the market price is that year. Nothing to show for it at the end.

£60k a year

on a typical 100-plot park

Years 1–5*

You pay EnerPark the same amount, fixed

We install the solar and battery system at no cost. You pay what you were paying for electricity, fixed for the term, and that pays the system off. If grid prices rise, yours doesn’t.

£60k a year, fixed

£300,000 in total over five years

Years 6–25

It’s yours. The power is free.

The system transfers to the park outright. Solar and battery power the site for the rest of a 25-year working life, and you stop paying for the electricity it generates.

£0 for solar power

for around twenty years

*Five years is the typical term; it can be longer depending on your consumption, tariff and the system your park needs, and is confirmed in writing after the energy audit. Figures are illustrative, for a park using around 200,000 kWh a year at roughly 30p/kWh. Any electricity the park still draws from the grid remains payable to your supplier.

The numbers

Five years of the same bill. Then twenty years of savings.

Move the slider to your park’s annual electricity spend. The model sizes an indicative system and shows what stays in the park once it’s paid off.

Grid electricity the park still draws, mainly in winter and overnight, remains payable to your supplier. Savings are not guaranteed.

What’s installed

A system sized to power the whole park

Not a few panels on the clubhouse roof. We size the system to generate about as much electricity over a year as the park uses, and add battery storage so the daytime sun runs the evening bar.

~250 kWp

of solar on a typical 100-plot park

~200 kWh

battery storage, sun by day and stored for the evening

System size is illustrative. Final sizing depends on your consumption, available roof and ground space, and grid capacity confirmed with the DNO.

Why holiday parks

Few businesses suit solar as well as a holiday park

Peak demand is in summer

Occupancy and generation rise and fall together, so more of what you make gets used on site.

Daytime load

Pool plant, catering, laundry and reception all run while the sun is up. The battery covers the evening.

Roofs and land

Clubhouses, facilities blocks, car parks and unused corners. Most parks have far more space than they need.

Everything is going electric

EV charging for guests and heat pumps in the hire fleet both run on power you’d now be making yourself. See EnerPods EV charging.

A story guests like

A park that powers itself is an easy thing to put on the website, and install is planned off-peak so the park keeps running.

Built for 25 years

Accredited engineers. Proven kit. Designed to still be earning in year 25.

A solar system is a 25-year asset. It only pays if it is designed properly, installed properly and looked after, which is why every stage is done by qualified commercial engineers.

01

Fully accredited

MCS, NAPIT and RECC certified installs, designed and signed off by qualified commercial engineers through our accredited engineering partner.

02

Proven equipment

Tier-one panels, inverters and batteries, with manufacturer warranties behind them, typically 25 years’ performance on panels.

03

Operate and maintain

Live monitoring, scheduled maintenance and a service plan for the full life of the system.

04

Board-ready design

Structural survey, DNO application and a full financial model, all before you commit to anything.

Accreditations apply to our installing partner and warranties to the equipment manufacturers. Warranty terms are provided in full with the design.

Straight answers

The things park owners ask first

Is there really nothing to pay up front?

Yes. We install the system at no cost. The park pays a fixed amount, set at its current annual electricity spend, until the system is paid for. There’s no loan and no lease.

What if our term is longer than five years?

Five years is typical. Where a park’s consumption, tariff or site calls for a larger system relative to its bill, the term can be longer. The actual term is set out in writing in the offer, before anything is booked.

Will we still get an electricity bill?

Yes, a smaller one. Generation and use don’t always line up, so some grid electricity is still drawn, mainly in winter and overnight, and that stays payable to your supplier. Surplus may be exported; export income is confirmed at design stage.

Can the payment go up?

No. The amount is fixed for the term and doesn’t move with grid prices. If the market rises, your payment doesn’t.

What happens at the end of the term?

The system transfers to the park outright. Full commercial terms, including ownership transfer, are confirmed in writing before anything is booked.

What about inverters and batteries?

They have shorter service lives than panels and are covered under the operate-and-maintain plan, the terms of which are set out in the offer.

Next steps

Start with a free energy audit. No obligation.

We analyse your bills, your peak demand and your site, and come back with a system sized for your park and your real numbers, not these illustrative ones.

1

Free energy audit

Send us twelve months of electricity bills. We look at consumption, peak demand, roofs and land.

2

Design and offer

A system sized for your park, the DNO application, and your fixed payment and term, in writing.

3

Install off-season

Planned around your calendar so the park keeps running. Nothing to pay on install.

4

Generate, then own

Around five years at today’s bill. Then the system is yours and the power is free.

What we’ll need from you: twelve months of electricity bills, a site plan if you have one, and a walk round the park with someone who knows where everything is.

Assumptions and terms. Figures on this page are illustrative for a park using around 200,000 kWh of electricity a year at roughly 30p/kWh (£60,000 a year), with a system of around 250 kWp of solar and 200 kWh of battery storage valued at about £300,000. Your own consumption, tariff, site and grid capacity replace these at the energy audit. The park pays a fixed amount, set at its current annual electricity spend, until the system is paid for; five years is the typical term and it can be longer. The amount is fixed for the term and does not change with grid prices. Full commercial terms, including ownership transfer at the end of the term, are confirmed in writing before anything is booked. Some grid electricity will still be drawn, mainly in winter and overnight, and remains payable to your supplier; export income, if any, is confirmed at design stage. “£1.2 million” is the park’s modelled electricity cost over years 6–25 at today’s price, which the system replaces; the “£1.7 million” case assumes grid prices rise 3% a year and allows for normal panel output decline. Neither is a forecast or a guarantee. 25 years is a typical design life for commercial solar; inverters and batteries have shorter service lives and are covered under the operate-and-maintain plan. Systems are designed, installed and signed off by our accredited engineering partner (MCS, NAPIT and RECC certified). Grant eligibility is checked individually and is not available on every site or property type.
